Dogs and cats have different numbers of adult teeth.  Typically each adult dog has 42 teeth.  There are 6 incisors, 2 canines, 8 premolars and 4 molars in the top of the mouth.  The only difference on the bottom is they have an additional two molars.  Each adult cat will typically have 30 teeth.  There are 6 incisors, 2 canines, 6 premolars and 2 molars in the top of the mouth.  They have 2 less premolars in the bottom.

Feeding Hills t/d, utilizizing dental treats such as Greenies and C.E.T Enzymatic Oral Hygiene Chews and giving your pet lots of chew toys are passive ways to promote good dental health.

Brushing your pets teeth, using C.E.T oral hygiene rinse, having your pets' teeth professionally cleaned and applying oravet are all active ways to promote good dental health.

*please remember that human toothpaste can be toxic to animals so please use a toothpaste made exclusively for dogs and cats*

We utilize the same dental equipment that you see at your dentist office.

To prevent plaque and tartar from building back up after a dental procedure, we recommend OraVet.  It is a gel that it applied to the outside of the teeth once a week.
